Acorn Nuts

Acorn nuts, also called cap nuts, are most often chosen to help complete a project giving it a clean look. They are most easily recognized by a dome shaped head that appears to be set on top of a hex nut. The dome section of the acorn nut also acts to protect the threads on the bolt/screw with a smooth finish. As with standard nuts, a user will need to ensure the diameter and thread pitch of the acorn nut is an exact match for the threaded shaft to avoid stripping. Due to their aesthetic appearance, acorn nuts will often be found in furniture, electronic, or decorative applications. Low crown acorn nuts are standard, but if your project requires a high crown acorn nut please reach out for a special quote.
