High Hex Nut, Grade 8

High finished hex nuts are offered in grade 8 strength, manufactured of medium-carbon alloy steel. Also known as high profile hex nuts, they are differentiated from standard hex nuts by the taller profile. The diameter and thread pitch must still correspond to the threaded fastener to avoid failure or stripping of the threads. The higher profile offered allows for extra thread engagement for improved grip and load distribution. High hex nuts are often utilized in heavy machinery and structural applications that require higher grade strength for increased durability.
