Offering heavy hex nuts that conform to the ASTM A194 standards with strict quality measurements for Grade 2H rating. Average load strength for grade 2H heavy hex nuts up to 1 ½” diameter is 175,000PSI unless hot dip galvanized which reduces strength to 150,000PSI. The 2H hex nuts are manufactured from high strength steel or alloy steel that offer high reliability connections for high-stress environments. They are compatible with heavy hex bolts that conform to similar standards and strengths, so long as the diameter and thread pitch match.
Grade 2H heavy hex nuts can be found in heavy machinery or equipment that require high strength, as well as in structural steelwork infrastructure. Many such infrastructure projects will also require corrosion resistance for the harsh, outdoor conditions. Fasteners Etc., Inc. offers an expansive line of structural and heavy hex nuts, material certifications available upon request.
