Tee nuts are an excellent choice for ensuring the most secure fastening of a screw into softer material such as wood or composite material. A tee nut has internal threads to match up with an externally threaded shaft of a screw but is most known for the prongs that are used to grip into the soft material. A hole must be pre-drilled into the base material, the tee nut will then be installed by being hammered or pressed in. Once a tee nut is fully tightened; it will provide a clean and flush finish.
