Socket set screws have a wide range of applications, across different industries valued for their simplicity, effectiveness and precise connections. Mechanical applications will utilize set screws to prevent rotational changes and maintain proper alignment. They are also heavily utilized in furniture and DIY projects for adjusting or leveling components that require a flush finish with limited working space. Since the set screws are fully installed into the material, no additional components are required as might be the case with other fastener options. A set screw is fully installed into a pre-drilled hole until it is flush or just below the installation surface, using the appropriate torque to ensure fully engaged threading without stripping. Consider the application and if you need the connection to be permanent or temporary/adjustable; select the best point type that fits your needs.

- Black Oxide: Standard coating for socket products, offering a minimally protective layer on the bare steel. Beneficial for uniform color and reduced glare from the matte black appearance.
- Zinc/Zinc Yellow/Mechanical Zinc: Offers a moderate corrosion resistance to the screw, enhancing the lifespan while not compromising the strength.
- Stainless-steel: Superior corrosion resistance with high durability, both 18-8 and 316 options available.
