Round Malleable Washers

Round malleable washers are flat, circular pieces of metal made from malleable material such as steel or iron. They are typically used for load distribution for assembly in wood applications. The threaded fastener, or bolt, will be inserted through the center of the flat washer so that it rests between the underside head of the bolt and the connecting material (wood). The additional surface area reduces stress and helps prevent damage to the wood or pull through of the fastener. We offer round malleable washers constructed of iron that can be zinc plated or hot dip galvanized.

Fasteners Etc also offers a sub-type of malleable washer, or ogee washers. The ogee washers have a distinct curve to them rather than appearing as a traditional ‘flat’ washer. The ogee washers are specifically designed for mechanical assemblies, often in unstable environments with vibration.  See available offering made of iron that’s hot dip galvanized for added protection to environmental concerns.
